Nick E.B. Coyne

Founder

A lifelong horseman, Founder Nick Coyne brought an unparalleled breadth of knowledge and field experience to Horsefeathers. Nick was widely known for his uncanny ability to match each rider with the perfect horse to meet their needs and encourage them to excel. Nick was a life member of the U.S. Cavalry Association, a Certified PATH Instructor, registered member of the American Riding Instructors Association (ARIA), and life member of the National Eagle Scout Association. Additionally, Nick founded Boy Scouts of America Explorer Post 3 - a mounted Search and Rescue Post. Nick was comfortable riding any temperament of horse in a variety of disciplines. He firmly believed, as the saying goes “no hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle”. Sadly, we lost Nick last summer but we continue his mission of bringing the healing power of horses to those with special needs.
